Elizabeth Clot specializes in business law. She has extensive experience in financing, mergers and acquisitions and corporate structuring. She assists her clients in the drafting and negotiation of the various contracts required in her field of activity.

Her clients include private investors, investment funds and private companies in the new technologies, traditional technologies and life sciences.

Prior to founding her own firm in 1995, Elizabeth Clot had a career with a large company, a world leader in the field of engineering and construction, for nearly twelve years.

She holds a law degree from the Université de Grenoble (France) and a bachelor’s degree in law from the Université de Montréal. She is a member of the Quebec Bar

Elizabeth Clot has been involved in various organizations:

A member of the Quebec Bar since 2015, Enguerran Clot's practice focuses primarily on the financing of private companies in the new technologies and life sciences sectors, as well as commercial and corporate law. He serves a broad clientele of entrepreneurs and investors (private and institutional) in the context of financing transactions, sales or acquisitions. Enguerran has also served as secretary on the board of directors of several technology companies and provides various training in financing and start-ups.

He graduated from the Université de Montréal in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in law. He also completed a Chinese law training/exchange at the China University of Political Science and Law in 2013.

Originally from Lyon, Shannen joined our team in 2020 as an articling student after passing the Quebec Bar exam.

With an international academic background, Shannen graduated from the Université Jean-Moulin, Lyon III (France) where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in law. Passionate about the business world, she completed her university studies with a master's degree in business law, which she obtained in 2017. She then broadened her skills by studying North American business law with a master's degree at the Université de Montréal, which culminated in the writing of a directed work on the right to digital oblivion

Her practice focuses primarily on the financing of private companies in the new technologies sector, as well as on corporate and commercial law. In the course of her mandates, Shannen is involved in financing, purchase and sale transactions and corporate reorganizations, particularly in the drafting, negotiation and review of financing agreements, shareholders' agreements and related documents.  

In addition to her practice, Shannen also serves as Secretary to the Board of Directors of a company specializing in the biomedical industry.

Rodrigo joined the Clot Avocats team in 2022 as an attorney. Rodrigo's practice focuses on business and corporate law. He participates in various corporate transactions and is involved in several stages of venture capital financings, buy-sell transactions and corporate reorganizations, including due diligence, review of financing agreements, shareholder agreements and related documents.

Prior to joining Clot Avocats, Rodrigo was a legal counsel in business law and intellectual property for two years at Hydro-Québec, a world leader in the field of renewable energy, where he also completed his articling. Through his corporate practice, he developed a perspective focused on the specific issues and needs of his clients.

Rodrigo was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2020 and obtained a bachelor's degree in law from Université Laval. With a diversified academic background, Rodrigo also studied international law during a semester at the Pontificia Comillas University in Madrid.

Marjorie joined the Clot Lawyers team in 2019 as a legal assistant. Her practice focuses on business law and venture capital.

Having completed a professional program in legal secretarial work, Marjorie first joined a criminal law firm in 1993.

During her years of experience, Marjorie has had the opportunity to acquire extensive experience in various branches of law such as commercial and civil litigation and business law.

She has also worked in the hospital field as an administrative assistant for the clinical research unit and department of cardiology and hemodynamics of a hospital.
