Elizabeth Clot specializes in business law. She has extensive experience in financing, mergers and acquisitions and corporate structuring. She assists her clients in the drafting and negotiation of the various contracts required in her field of activity.

Her clients include private investors, investment funds and private companies in the new technologies, traditional technologies and life sciences.

Prior to founding her own firm in 1995, Elizabeth Clot had a career with a large company, a world leader in the field of engineering and construction, for nearly twelve years.

She holds a law degree from the Université de Grenoble (France) and a bachelor’s degree in law from the Université de Montréal. She is a member of the Quebec Bar

Elizabeth Clot has been involved in various organizations:

A member of the Quebec Bar since 2015, Enguerran Clot's practice focuses primarily on the financing of private companies in the new technologies and life sciences sectors, as well as commercial and corporate law. He serves a broad clientele of entrepreneurs and investors (private and institutional) in the context of financing transactions, sales or acquisitions. Enguerran has also served as secretary on the board of directors of several technology companies and provides various training in financing and start-ups.

He graduated from the Université de Montréal in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in law. He also completed a Chinese law training/exchange at the China University of Political Science and Law in 2013.

Quentin joined the Clot Avocats team in 2024 as a lawyer. His practice focuses on business and corporate law. He is involved in various transactions in corporate financing, private equity and mergers and acquisitions.

Before joining Clot Avocats, Quentin worked in several business firms in Montreal in corporate and transactional law. Originally from Paris, he studied business law at the Panthéon-Sorbonne University and obtained a master's degree in international business law.

Meir joined the Clot Avocats team in 2024 as an articling student after passing the Quebec Bar exam. Meir’s practice encompasses general corporate and business law, with a focus on startup financing mandates and corporate maintenance for clients. He is also an active member of the Montreal startup and venture ecosystem through involvement in numerous community organizations.

Meir is also a candidate for membership to the New York State Bar Association, having written the UBE in July.

Before joining Clot, Meir worked in-house at a large late-stage startup in Montreal, a venture-capital firm and in government.

Zoha is a business lawyer specializing in venture capital and startups. She has expertise in corporate and transactional law, developed through her experience at a national law firm and her clerkship with a judge at the Superior Court of Quebec.

Holding degrees in political science and international development from McGill University, as well as a Bachelor of Laws and a Juris Doctor from the University of Montreal, Zoha combines legal rigor and business law with a creative and global perspective. Her background is especially relevant in the fast-growing fields of venture capital and impact investing, where innovation, business, and social purpose intersect.

Marjorie joined the Clot Lawyers team in 2019 as a legal assistant. Her practice focuses on business law and venture capital.

Having completed a professional program in legal secretarial work, Marjorie first joined a criminal law firm in 1993.

During her years of experience, Marjorie has had the opportunity to acquire extensive experience in various branches of law such as commercial and civil litigation and business law.

She has also worked in the hospital field as an administrative assistant for the clinical research unit and department of cardiology and hemodynamics of a hospital.
